Account Manager/Specialty Account Manager - IgG4 - Rare Disease

Amgen seeks an Account Manager or Specialty Account Manager for rare disease to represent IgG4-related disease products across Virginia and West Virginia. The role involves territory management, physician engagement, sales target achievement, and cross-functional collaboration to advance patient-centered disease education.

Responsibilities

• Achieve assigned sales objectives through promotion of patient-centered disease and product education to healthcare professionals
• Execute marketing plan goals and develop strategic account business plans within assigned territory
• Establish and maintain productive relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare institutions across academic, IDN, and community settings
• Collaborate across Case Managers, Medical Affairs, and Patient Access teams to address clinical knowledge gaps and support patient care
• Maintain in-depth disease and therapeutic knowledge with consultative, solution-oriented selling approach for IgG4-related disease

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales experience (or equivalent combination of education/experience)
• 7+ years biotech or specialty pharmaceutical sales experience preferred
• 3+ years rare disease, orphan drug, or immunology/rheumatology sales experience preferred
• 3+ years in-office injection or infusion product sales with patient access coordination
• Experience operating in matrix environment with patient services and medical affairs teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent organizational and analytical abilities
• Willingness to travel 20-30% including occasional overnight and weekend commitments
