JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Accounting Analyst is responsible for assisting with the accounting and financial reporting process including, but not limited to, making general ledger journal entries, performing reconciliations and gathering data to support financial statement disclosures. The Accounting Analyst is also responsible for invoicing customers in accordance with contract terms and conditions, as well as providing necessary administrative support. JOB DESCRIPTION SCOPE OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES The duties of the Accounting Analyst shall include, but are not necessarily limited to the following: Prepares and/or reviews invoices and credit memos based on terms and conditions Maintains customer billing guidelines and procedures Assists in collections of outstanding receivables Prepares general ledger journal entries and reconciliations for certain moderately complex accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Assists with various accounting functions such as tracking of project costs, customer billing, fixed asset accounting and certain statutory filings. Assists management in the preparation, analysis, and distribution of financial statements and supporting data on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Prepares and maintains written memorandum and adequate accounting records for all accounting tasks/processes performed Assists management with accounting for moderately complex transactions, and reports and recommends to financial management any opportunities for improvement in accounting policies and procedures. Monitors outstanding rebill items to assure clients are invoiced timely and in accordance with contract provisions. Prepares reports for Accounting Department as required Assists in preparation of monthly accruals and support Assists in preparation for audits as necessary. All other duties as assigned by management REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Experience: Previous accounting or billing experience preferred but not required. Skills: Competency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) required. Proficiency with 10-key and computer data entry required. Fluency in written and spoken English required Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, ensure confidentiality, and work with minimal supervision Strong attention-to-detail, troubleshooting and critical thinking skills required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations related to training. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
