Site: Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, Inc. Job Summary Schedule: Per Diem. A per diem RN must be able to work 16 shifts every 6 months, including 4 weekend shifts and one shift during summer and one during winter holiday. In the ED, the RN provides immediate acute care to patients—triage, assessment, treatment, and documentation. The RN works 29 ED beds with 24‑hour imaging and primary stroke center duties. Responsibilities The RN is responsible for planning and providing patient care in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care. The RN demonstrates initiative, knowledge, and clinical skills for complex patients, managing assessment, implementation and evaluation of care. The RN follows the Patient and Family Centered Care Model. Qualifications BSN required Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure required BLS certification for healthcare providers required Must obtain ACLS before end of orientation; independent practice requires ACLS PALS preferred ED experience strongly preferred 2 years telemetry experience preferred Good interpersonal and communication skills Analytic thinking to care for patient groups Observational skills and ability to set priorities Adherence to I.C.A.R.E. standards Schedule & Shift Per Diem, rotating shifts. Must commit to 16 shifts every 6 months (including weekend, summer, and winter). Location 1153 Centre Street, Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, Jamaica Plain, MA. Pay $41.36 – $100.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
