Noon Aide

Location: Westview Elementary School

Work Year: Student Calendar

Wages: $15.00 per hour (3 - 3.75 hours per day); Employed through EDUStaff, Inc

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Demonstrate patience and understanding when working with children
• Ability to work flexible schedule
• Ability to work in standing position for long periods of time
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull
• Ability to supervise outdoor recess during all types of weather
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, students and other departments professionally

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Supervise and monitor students in the cafeteria during meals and at recess either indoor or outside
• Be alert at all times to students and their needs
• Circulate through cafeteria, making self available to students who need assistance
• Maintain order in the cafeteria, reinforce manners, eating habits and clean up procedures
• Inform principal of any serious problems
• Establish and maintain safe environment at all times
• Enforce safety rules and appropriate behavior standards and playground/cafeteria rules set by the principal
• Provide first aid needs to students when needed
• Supervise students in designated areas in the event of bad weather
• Restrict rough housing, horseplay or other inappropriate behavior
• Comply with all district board policies, safety and crisis management policies and procedures
• Report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner
• Maintain positive attitude
• Perform other duties as assigned
