Associate Executive Compensation and Benefits

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate to join its Executive Compensation and Benefits practice. This role involves advising a diverse client base on complex compensation and benefits matters, including transactional and compliance-related issues. The position offers flexibility to be based in multiple offices, including Austin. Responsibilities Advise clients on executive compensation and employee benefits matters Support mergers and acquisitions, financings, and initial public offerings from a compensation and benefits perspective Draft and review equity and incentive compensation plans and related agreements Provide guidance on executive employment matters, including hiring, termination, and exit arrangements Counsel clients on compliance with Section 280G, Section 409A, ERISA, and related regulations Assist with public company reporting and disclosure obligations Conduct legal research and analysis on compensation and benefits issues Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including corporate deal teams Requirements 2 to 3 years of experience in executive compensation and employee benefits Experience at a large law firm preferred Strong academic credentials Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Strong understanding of professional responsibility and ethical standards Admission to the applicable state bar or eligibility for admission Education Juris Doctor (JD) or foreign equivalent; LL.M. may be considered in lieu of a JD Certifications Active bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction Skills Strong analytical and research abilities Excellent legal writing and drafting skills Effective verbal communication skills Attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to exercise sound judgment and initiative Strong interpersonal and client service skills Benefits Flexible office location options Mentorship and professional development opportunities Hands‑on experience with complex and high‑profile matters #J-18808-Ljbffr BCG Attorney Search
