Role Description The Behavioral Health Technician is a full-time/part-time, On-site (Residential role) based in Trenton, MI. but covers all of Wayne County. This role supports licensed clinicians by assisting with behavioral interventions, collecting and documenting patient data, and helping implement treatment plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring patient behaviors, supporting therapy sessions, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with the clinical team to ensure consistent, high-quality care. The Behavioral Health Technician also helps prepare therapy materials, communicates with patients and families in a professional and empathetic manner, and adheres to all clinic protocols and ethical standards. The position involves working with diverse age groups and behavioral needs in a structured outpatient environment. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis to support evidence-based behavioral interventions. Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members. Candidates should possess skills in Behavioral Intervention to assist in implementing treatment plans and monitoring progress. Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Psychology to understand behavioral health concepts and clinical practices. Relevant qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field preferred. Prior experience in behavioral health, mental health, or working with children, adolescents, or adults in a clinical or community setting is beneficial. Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow clinical protocols, and document accurately in electronic or paper records.
