Role: Data Engineer - ETL, Big Data & Cloud
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines for data ingestion and processing
- Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements
- Build and maintain ETL workflows for data transformation
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning
- Develop data models aligned with business needs
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across systems
- Work with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for data solutions
- Implement big data processing using Spark or similar technologies
- Support deployment and migration of data solutions across environments
- Contribute to data governance and compliance initiatives
- Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain solution design and architecture documentation
- Analyze data sources and design efficient data pipeline solutions
- Develop ETL processes using modern tools and frameworks
- Design database structures and data models for scalability
- Handle data from multiple formats including streaming data
- Address data governance, security, and compliance requirements
- Define integrated enterprise-wide data views
- Support data migration across Development, QA, and Production
- Troubleshoot ETL jobs and resolve data-related issues
- Validate data accuracy and integrity using SQL queries
- Create test data and perform data validation checks
- Follow best practices for configuration and release management
Essential Skills:
- Strong experience in ETL development and data pipeline design
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of big data technologies and frameworks
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of data modeling techniques
- Understanding of structured and unstructured data processing
- Familiarity with Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools
- Knowledge of data governance and security practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in Agile environments
