Duration: 6 months

Role: Senior Data Engineer (Databricks, PySpark)

Lead data engineering initiatives using Databricks and Spark ecosystem
Design and build scalable big data pipelines for enterprise use cases
Act as a senior technical contributor and mentor junior engineers
Collaborate with data science and BI teams for analytics solutions
Drive data architecture and engineering best practices
Work closely with business stakeholders to define data requirements
Develop and optimize ETL and data ingestion frameworks
Ensure high data quality, governance, and compliance standards
Support real-time and batch data processing systems
Provide strategic insights and recommendations using data analysis

Responsibilities:

Gather, analyze, and define data requirements for structured and unstructured data
Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using PySpark and Databricks
Develop data ingestion, transformation, and aggregation workflows
Implement data validation, cleansing, and normalization processes
Design and manage Delta Lake architectures and data models
Work with streaming technologies like Kafka and Spark Streaming
Optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability
Develop and enforce data governance, retention, and anonymization policies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for data integration solutions
Support machine learning and analytics teams with data preparation
Use version control tools like Git for code management
Lead and mentor junior team members and support multiple projects

Essential Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with Databricks platform
Deep understanding of Apache Spark and PySpark
Proficiency in Python for data engineering and analytics
Experience with Delta Lake and Databricks ecosystem tools
Strong SQL skills for data querying and transformation
Experience with big data tools like Hadoop, Hive, Kafka
Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or GCP
Experience in building ETL pipelines and data architectures
Familiarity with streaming data processing frameworks
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
