General Ledger Accountant I

Job Summary Collects, analyzes, monitors, and reports on the organization’s financial matters, managing and ensuring compliance with the organization’s financial policies, professional standards and all laws. Responsible for general accounting, fixed assets, accounts payable and expense reimbursement and revenue accounting (including accounts receivable). Job Responsibilities Responsible for general accounting activities including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers, and preparing account and bank reconciliations Maintains integrity of accounting information and systems, in accordance with standards and rules under GAAP, as well as other regulating bodies Performs a wide range of support functions to assist in departmental processes Follows clearly defined procedures to complete daily tasks and responsibilities Uses existing procedures to solve straightforward problems without the consistent need to exercise discretion Uses basic communication skills to address internal and/or external clients and/or team members Individual contributor working under direct supervision with little autonomy Performs all other duties as assigned by management Education High school diploma required; Bachelor’s preferred Experience Typically requires 0-2 years of related work experience Equal Employment Opportunity Stewart is committed to ensuring that its online application process provides an equal employment opportunity to all job seekers, including individuals with disabilities.
