Two passionate Special Education Teachers are needed for self-contained classrooms—one at the high school level and one at the elementary level. Both positions support small caseloads of 5 to 6 students, which allows for individualized instruction and the chance to see real progress in your students’ development. Start as soon as possible and continue through May 21, 2027.

Desired Qualifications and Certifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification for the state
• Previous experience in a self-contained classroom is a plus
• Deep understanding of IEP processes and special education documentation
• Ability to cultivate a positive, supportive classroom environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to diverse learner needs
• Manage and update IEPs in collaboration with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment for students in either high school or elementary self-contained settings
• Collaborate regularly with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Maintain consistent and professional communication with families regarding student progress and strategies for support
• Attend required meetings and ongoing professional development sessions
