About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required License: Valid Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS and ACLS Must-Have: - CABG and Valve post-op experience - Impella and IABP experience - CRRT experience - EKG tele competency assessment - EPIC experience Description: Winter contract option of 13 or 18 weeks. Must work a minimum of every other holiday. RNs are needed with open heart experience. Targeted patient ratios are 1:2 for critical care and 1:3 for intermediate level patients. Must have experience with vents, NIH, IV start, ICP, and conscious sedation. Must be able to read and interpret strips. An Associate's Degree in Nursing or BSN is required. Two years of experience is required. Must be able to float to appropriate assignments based on needs. Candidate must be available to work every other weekend and holiday. Knowledge of COVID-19 care protocols is essential. Customer service is a top priority. Interdisciplinary support teams will be available. The daily census on the unit is approximately 24 patients. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The unit provides care for various patient diagnoses, including respiratory illnesses and cardiovascular issues. Special procedures include cardiac surgeries and open-heart procedures. Candidates must be comfortable floating to other units based on skill sets and census needs.
