About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Open Heart experience, including CABG, Valve post-op, Impella, IABP, and CRRT. - Must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting. - Must have experience with Vents, NIH, IV Start, ICP, and Conscious Sedation. Description: RN needed with critical care experience. Targeted patient ratios are 1:2 for critical care and 1:3 for intermediate level patients. Candidates must be available to work minimum of every other holiday. Travelers will float at the discretion of management. They may be assigned to a medically appropriate area based on unit needs. Floating may include high-risk respiratory units or other areas as needed. Candidates must be available to work every other weekend and holiday. The facility reserves the right to cancel shifts due to low census. Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives. Previous charge experience is preferred. The unit provides Family Centered Care without restricted visiting hours. Customer service is prioritized. Daily census includes various patient diagnoses such as respiratory illnesses, uncontrolled blood pressure, and infections. Unit details include a designated neuro unit and support services including physical therapy and pharmacy. Skills required include ventilator management, administration of medications, and infection prevention. Candidates should be comfortable floating and adapting to varying patient needs.
