As a Capital One Senior Manager, Technical Program Management, you will work with product, technology, and design leaders who constantly challenge the status‑quo and help bring these tools to market. Our TPM Sr. Managers have: Strong technical backgrounds (ideally building highly scalable platforms, products, or services) with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout delivery life‑cycle Exceptional communication and collaboration skills Excellent problem‑solving and influencing skills A quantitative approach to problem solving and a collaborative implementer of holistic solutions; a systems thinker Ability to simplify the technically complex and drive well‑educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science representatives Deep focus on execution, follow‑through, accountability, and results Exceptional cross‑team collaboration; able to work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done Highly tuned emotional intelligence, good listener, and deep seated empathy for teams and partners Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree At least 5 years of experience managing technical programs Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience designing and building data‑intensive solutions using distributed computing 3+ years of experience building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture – preferably using AWS 3+ years of experience building highly scalable mobile products and platforms 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery 3+ years of experience delivering large and complex programs – owning the business or technical vision, collaborating with large cross‑functional teams, securing commitments on deliverables, and unblocking teams to generate business impact Experience building systems and solutions within a highly regulated environment Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering) At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization or offer any immigration related support for this position. This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non‑discretionary depending on the plan.
