These principles define our identity and guide our actions, shaping a dynamic and inclusive workplace.The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for order verification, shipping and receiving of materials, accurately recording items that leave and return to the facility, arranging outbound shipments, and maintaining overall inventory control.Key Responsibilities:Make all transportation arrangements for outbound and inbound shipments, air shipments, arrange logistics for forwarding and split shipments, and track deliveries of all orders.Arrange and routinely monitor shipments through parcel and freight carriers (FedEx, UPS, and AFU) as well as local providers (Time, Priority, Vector) ensuring timely delivery.Retrieve and verify PO numbers and receiving information for all shipments and booth properties.Receive inbound shipments from all carriers, log deliveries in the daily receiving log, inspect for damages, and ensure all packing lists and Bills of Lading (BOLs) are complete.Verify received goods for accuracy and condition, comparing counts against PO details and promptly reporting and following up on discrepancies, including completion of RWOA documentation.Distribute incoming shipments to the appropriate teams in a timely manner.Prepare, document, and dispatch outbound shipments in accordance with scheduled timelines, ensuring accuracy and on-time release.Ensure all scheduled shipments are dispatched according to plan.Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate logistics and transportation needs for shipments.Maintain communication with internal teams regarding shipment status, including incoming and outgoing deliveries.Track inbound and outbound shipments and follow up with carriers and internal teams to resolve delays or issues.Communicate with drivers and carriers regarding delivery schedules and pickup coordination.Maintain accurate inventory records, updating systems to reflect movement of client inventory as needed.Track, secure, and communicate availability of giveaway items. Report discrepancies in inventory as they arise.Safely operate a forklift to efficiently load/unload semi-trailers to support the Warehouse team.Model and promote company core values – Individuals, Service, Excellence, Integrity, Accountability, Teamwork, Innovation – across all interactions and work activities.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.1-2 years of experience in Logistics or related field required.Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.Possess basic technical skills, including proficiency with computers, scanners and internal software/systems.Physical Requirements:Extended periods of time sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift, push/pull, stand and/or stop for prolonged periods of time.Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time.Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock. At CenterPoint, we celebrate workplace diversity and maintain an environment of mutual respect.
