Electrical Design Engineer

Full-time / Consulting New York, US / Remote YC-backed About the Role This is a product-first role where you'll translate electrical engineering expertise into AI systems. You'll collaborate with the CTO and CPO to encode electrical engineering knowledge into autonomous AI agents that perform quality assurance and code compliance checks. You're not doing routine engineering. You're turning your expertise into a scalable product — one that will eventually perform the NEC compliance and QA/QC work that costs MEP firms thousands of engineer-hours per year. What You'll Do • Translate electrical standards and NEC codes into structured patterns for AI execution • Collaborate on feature testing and weekly product releases meeting professional standards • Lead technical delivery of AI-generated reviews to enterprise clients • Conduct technical discovery sessions with MEP firms to understand their workflows • Identify design patterns across datasets to automate platform checks What We're Looking For • 2+ years electrical design experience in commercial or industrial buildings • Demonstrated QA/QC expertise with peer review experience• Ability to abstract patterns into universal engineering logic • Clear communication skills with inclination toward workflow automation • Bonus: BIM coordination or VDC experience • Bonus: familiarity with power analysis software (SKM, ETAP) • Bonus: multi-disciplinary coordination or startup environment experience Sound like you?
