Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A staffing opportunity is available for a Pharmacist with expertise in sterile compounding to support home infusion therapy operations. This contract-to-hire role offers the chance to apply clinical knowledge, compounding skills, and operational oversight in a dynamic healthcare setting. The position is based in Raleigh, NC, with a schedule of Monday through Friday rotating shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, including on-call coverage on weekends and evenings. The assignment duration is approximately 17 weeks, with potential for permanent placement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage home infusion therapies by reviewing referrals for appropriateness, initiating new patient starts, refills, medication reconciliation, and patient counseling.
- Monitor lab-dependent therapies and coordinate care with providers and nursing staff.
- Prepare and verify sterile compounded medications, ensuring compliance with USP standards, accurate labeling, and lot tracking.
- Oversee accurate prescription entry, documentation, and claim adjudication using CPR+ software.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians while supporting production, inventory management, and delivery workflows.
- Ensure the timely and safe dispensing and delivery of medications within a fast-paced home infusion environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in sterile compounding is mandatory.
- Prior experience with home infusion pharmacy preferred.
- Active North Carolina pharmacy license.
- Proficiency using pharmacy computer systems, particularly CPR+.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday during rotating shifts: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM, or 9:00 AM–6:00 PM.
- On-call duties during weekends and evenings.
