Medical Assistant (Contract)

We are seeking a dependable Certified Medical Assistant (Contract) to support clinical research activities within an inpatient setting. This role is responsible for providing administrative support, participant-facing customer service, and basic clinical assistance consistent with protocol and facility guidelines. This position plays a key role in maintaining smooth study flow, ensuring participant comfort, and supporting research staff in daily operations. Key Responsibilities Assist with inpatient study visits in accordance with approved protocols Perform phlebotomy (blood draws) and specimen collection as needed Administer medications as directed by licensed healthcare providers and within scope of practice Monitor and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient responses to treatments Support inpatient unit tasks including patient intake, rounding assistance, discharge preparation, and coordination of care Prepare and maintain patient rooms and supplies Assist with adverse event reporting and patient safety monitoring Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, research staff, and patients Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Certified Patient Care Technician, Medical Assistant, CNA, EMT, or related credential (strongly preferred) Must be available to work 7:00a-3:00p, Monday - Friday Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, protocol-driven environment Professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail What We Offer Hands-on experience in clinical research and patient interaction Training on research protocols, GCP guidelines, and study-specific procedures Opportunity for professional development #J-18808-Ljbffr Accelerated Clinical Trials
