Future Opening: Insurance Staff Position - State Farm Agent Team Member Full Time • Chicago - IL Jim Tom, State Farm Insurance Agent in Chicago 60618 (North Center), seeks an outgoing, career-oriented professional to join their insurance team for an in‑office position. As an insurance licensed insurance professional with our State Farm Insurance Agency, you will build and develop customer relationships within the community to promote State Farm products including auto, home, business, life and health insurance, along with financial services products. Responsibilities Establish insurance customer relationships, and provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverage, policy changes, claim submissions, billing clarification, etc. Review policy gaps during interactions and present State Farm and alliance portfolios to address needs discovered. Engage in confident, needs‑based sales conversations that lead to appropriate insurance solutions. Follow up on quotes and customer inquiries within the same business day to close. Represent the agency at occasional community events and support local brand growth. Build a center of influence and network of contacts to generate referrals for prospective customers. Utilize telemarketing techniques to generate leads and schedule appointments. Maintain accurate records of every customer interaction in the database. Requirements Illinois Property & Casualty and Life & Health Insurance Producers Licenses (must possess or acquire ASAP) Strong proactive problem‑solving abilities. Effective communication skills (verbal and written). Positive attitude, receptive to coaching feedback. Strong work ethic, productivity, proven record of success, results‑driven. Ability to build rapport and persuade clients. Fast learner with attention to detail. Resilience to rejection. Proficiency in sales, customer service, retention and network development.
