Certified Caregiver Opportunity

We are looking for caregivers who are certified and want to make a difference through their delivery of compassionate care! Caregivers on our registry can choose their assignments, interview the clients prior to accepting the job and additionally have the ability to maintain their independence of working privately should they so choose.

If this describes you, we want you on our registry! Griswold Home Care is looking for high-quality certified caregivers with a minimum of 2 years experience. We are seeking the best!

Specific Shifts Available:

All Shifts, Part and Full Time

As an independent contractor, you may appreciate:

We are currently looking for caregivers to provide services to clients in and between the following areas:

Rochester/Monroe County

Caregiver Requirements:

• Must be compassionate and dedicated
• Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect
• Be punctual
• Meet state health requirements, including a negative TB skin test/chest x-ray
• Pass Background Check
• Pass Competency exam
• Have a drivers license and auto insurance
• Must be certified

Caregiver Responsibilities:

• Assisting with personal care: bathing and grooming, dressing, toileting, and exercise
• Basic food preparation: preparing meals, shopping, housekeeping, laundry, and other errands
• General health care: overseeing medication and prescriptions usage, appointment reminders and administering medicine
• Mobility assistance: help with getting in and out of a wheelchair, car or shower
• Personal supervision: providing constant companionship and general supervision
• Transportation: driving to and from activities, running errands, and help getting in and out of wheelchair-accessible vehicle
• Emotional support: being a stable companion and supporter in all matters personal, health-related and emotional
• Care for the elderly: orienting or grounding someone with Alzheimers disease or dementia, relaying information from a doctor to family members
• Back-up care (or respite) services: providing other caregivers a break
• Home organization: help with organizing, packing or cleaning for a trip, or general house care and cleaning
• Health monitoring: following a care plan and noticing any changes in the individuals health, recording and reporting any differences
