Duties Assist in the management of a retail activity with sales less than $14M, responsible for receipt, stocking, pricing, inventory, transfer, replenishment, and warehousing of merchandise. Assist customers and resolve complaints; interview, hire, train, or direct training of assigned personnel. Encourage and develop employees through coaching, training, and growth opportunities. Assist in developing promotional sales and deal with vendors to execute department operations. Ensure store recovery and supervise vending and warehouse operations. Welcome customers, maintain product knowledge, and help with merchandise selection. React quickly to all customer concerns with a sense of importance. Perform key carrier, opening, and closing of the store as required, including weekends. Review monthly P&L’s to compare actual figures to plan and initiate corrective actions when needed. Direct or supervise other employees and be responsible for overall store in the manager’s absence. Ensure compliance with Loss Prevention, safety standards, and emergency preparedness policies. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum: Two years of progressively responsible experience equivalent to a lead/supervisor that demonstrates leadership, operational oversight, and customer service management OR completion of the CGX Leadership Development program (LDP). Physical requirement: Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods. Preferred (in addition to the minimum): Prior retail merchandising experience. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with emphasis in retail or business administration with at least two years of specialized experience. General business experience may be substituted on a year‑for‑year basis. P&L analysis experience. Current USCG NAF department supervisor.
