Job Description Roller Operator – Lead Heavy Civil Compaction for Adcamp Inc. \n \n Job Overview: \n \n Company: Adcamp Inc. \n Location: Flowood, MS \n Job/Employment Type: Full Time. \n Schedule: Monday - Friday (Some Saturdays required). \n Project Scope: Commercial, Industrial, Government, and Federal. \n Mandatory Licences & Certifications: None Required. \n \n \n The Opportunity: \n You will serve as a vital asset in field operations, operating heavy compaction equipment to ensure high-quality surfaces. This role gives you the autonomy to execute precise rolling patterns while receiving the backing of a team that knows you by name. You will directly impact infrastructure durability by consistently meeting strict density and surface finish requirements. \n \n How You Will Make an Impact: \n \n Operate steel-wheel vibratory and pneumatic tire rollers to achieve specified density on asphalt lifts. \n Execute precise rolling patterns based on mix type, lift thickness, and temperature windows to prevent defects. \n Monitor mat temperatures closely and adjust roller proximity to the paver to optimize compaction. \n Coordinate daily with paver and screed operators to maintain consistent spacing and paving speeds. \n Perform thorough pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections, including fluid levels and drum conditions. \n Support nuclear density gauge testing and review site results directly with the project Foreman. \n \n \n Required Qualifications & Experience: \n \n Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating steel-wheel vibratory and pneumatic tire rollers. \n Demonstrated knowledge of asphalt compaction theory, breakdown patterns, and mix behavior. \n Proven ability to safely maneuver heavy equipment and work productively within a team environment. \n Strong detail orientation with a track record of meeting density requirements without surface defects. \n Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and handle equipment vibration. \n \n \n Preferred Qualifications & Experience: \n \n Prior experience operating specific equipment brands such as Hamm, Bomag, Dynapac, or Caterpillar. \n Basic understanding of field quality control procedures and nuclear density gauge operations. \n Demonstrated experience assisting with broader paving and site operations during rolling cycles. \n \n \n Compensation & Benefits: \n \n Weekly pay cycle with substantial overtime potential and annual performance bonuses. \n 401(k) retirement savings program featuring competitive employer matching contributions. \n Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options for peace of mind. \n Life and disability insurance options along with a company-provided tech package. \n Paid time off including scheduled holidays, vacation, and sick leave. \n Company vehicle, safety equipment, and access to annual corporate trips and outings. \n \n \n About Us: \n Adcamp Inc. is a leading name in civil and heavy construction, specializing in commercial and government projects.
