Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. This position requires a commitment to providing superior quality care while ensuring patient and employee safety within our healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment goals and plans as established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in therapeutic interventions designed to meet patients' long-term goals, including posture training, strengthening exercises, and functional skills training.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices.
• Monitor patient responses and intervene as necessary.
• Document patient progress and responses to treatment.
• Establish and maintain professional and ethical working relationships with patients and staff.
• Participate in team conferences and special projects aimed at improving patient care quality.
• Comply with all clinic policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Schedule

This position works a 5x8.0 schedule with guaranteed hours.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position with a possibility of extension based on performance and facility needs.
