Details Short-term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds, Level II Trauma Center Telemetry unit caring for post-op patients including CABG, TAVR, general surgery, bariatric, and thoracic cases Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 0700-1930 Floating required as needed, including possible float to Milford Campus Every other weekend and holiday rotation required per department needs Epic charting system used Patient ratio of 1:5 Requirements Active RN license (CT or Compact) required BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required Epic charting experience preferred Skills in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, blood product administration, and PICC line management Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and rapid response/code team protocols Experience with pacemakers, pre/post cardiac surgery care, and TAVR preferred Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration) Wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE experience 1 professional reference required for consideration Additional Information Part of the Yale New Haven Health System with free parking available Royal blue scrubs required Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious/medical exemptions only First-time travelers will be considered Candidates must live outside a 75-mile radius of the hospital to qualify for travel rate Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler RTO up to 7 days can be auto-approved American Traveler Job ID P-772560.
