Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our hospital facility in Irving, Texas, where you will engage directly with patients in a clinical setting. You will be working full-time, with a standard schedule of 40 hours per week from 9 AM to 5 PM, with occasional rotational weekends and evenings to accommodate patient care needs. Key Responsibilities

As a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner at Haven OB/GYN & Maternity Care, you will:

• Conduct detailed patient histories and comprehensive physical examinations to assess the health needs of your patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans while documenting all actions and communications accurately in patient records.
• Perform daily rounds to monitor the health status of patients, ensuring that you provide continuous care and timely interventions.
• Prescribe and manage medications, ordering clinical laboratory tests and interpreting results to guide treatment decisions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure the highest quality of treatment for patients.
• Document discharge summaries, prescriptions, and referrals upon patient discharge, ensuring that follow-up care instructions are clearly communicated to patients.
• Actively participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and share insights on health outcomes.
• Perform related duties as assigned, maintaining a commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to best practices in nursing.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on women’s health, addressing a wide range of medical concerns including reproductive health, maternal care, and chronic conditions affecting women. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• National Board Certification in a relevant specialty area.
• A current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license and Registered Nurse license to practice in Texas.
• Completion of a collaborative practice agreement with designated protocols on file in accordance with state regulations.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a women's health setting, although newly graduated practitioners with relevant clinical experience during their studies are also encouraged to apply. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and a commitment to lifelong learning in the evolving field of women's health are advantageous.
