Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)

Full-time position in South of Florence, Oregon. The role involves performing routine and complex laboratory testing across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, blood bank, and urinalysis, ensuring accuracy and quality to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex laboratory testing in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, blood bank, and urinalysis.
• Analyze patient specimens while ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the testing process.
• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
• Review and verify laboratory test results before reporting.
• Follow quality assurance and quality control procedures to maintain laboratory excellence.
• Adhere to laboratory safety standards, infection control policies, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding laboratory findings.
• Assist with inventory management and laboratory supply organization.
• Support continuous process improvement initiatives within the laboratory.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related laboratory science field.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) program.
• Oregon laboratory licensure, if applicable.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and quality control practices.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• ASCP, AMT, or equivalent national certification preferred or eligible.
