Human Resources Generalist

We’re hiring an experienced HR Generalist to join a fast-paced organization in Stockton! This is a great opportunity for a well-rounded HR professional who enjoys being hands-on, working closely with employees and leadership, and managing a variety of HR responsibilities. This role will provide broad HR support with a strong focus on leave administration, employee relations, compliance, onboarding, and day-to-day HR operations. We’re looking for someone who is confident, professional, highly organized, and understands the importance of confidentiality and discretion. Responsibilities Administer FMLA, workers’ compensation, military leave, and other leave programs Support employee relations, complaints, documentation, and investigation follow-up Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and new hire orientations Assist with HR compliance, policies, grievances, and annual training Support recruitment and hiring activities Assist with benefits administration and open enrollment Maintain accurate HR records, spreadsheets, and tracking Work within union/CBA guidelines and attendance processes Partner closely with HR leadership on daily HR needs Qualifications 4+ years of HR experience with a strong generalist background Hands-on experience with leave administration and employee relations Solid understanding of HR compliance Strong Excel, organization, and tracking skills Experience working in a union or CBA environment Excellent judgment, communication skills, and professionalism Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and self-sufficient in a fast-moving environment Experience in public sector, transit, transportation, or government HR is a plus, along with benefits/open enrollment experience, training or orientation experience, and SHRM certification. #J-18808-Ljbffr AVAILABILITY Professional Staffing
