Communication Desk Assistant
Location: Birmingham, AL 35203 Duration: 12 months
Summary: Support Public Safety Awareness programs by scheduling school/community safety presentations, tracking events and metrics, recording survey results, preparing/mailing materials, and providing backup virtual presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate safety presentations/events.
- Maintain event logs, program metrics, and survey results.
- Deliver virtual student presentations as needed.
- Prepare, pack, and mail program materials; light lifting required.
- Create/manage documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Education, Marketing, or related field.
- 510 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Strong written/verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Experience delivering virtual presentations.
- Proficiency with Teams, Zoom, WebEx, Google Meet or similar platforms.
- Dependable, proactive, organized, and able to work independently.
- Strong decision-making, teamwork, and ability to learn new tools/trends quickly.
