Estimator (Multifamily Construction)

Estimator Position

Job Description

• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost analysis across all trades
• Prepare conceptual budgets, estimates, and project proposals
• Solicit, review, and qualify subcontractor and vendor pricing
• Identify scope gaps, constructability concerns, and coordination issues during preconstruction
• Maintain detailed Excel-based cost tracking and project data
• Assist with preconstruction RFIs and contract exhibit preparation
• Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams throughout the estimating process
• Attend bid walks, project site visits, and preconstruction meetings as needed
• Support multiple concurrent projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

The Successful Applicant

A successful Estimator should have: The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of estimating or preconstruction experience within multifamily or commercial construction, with experience supporting projects in the $5M-$20M+ range. They will bring strong analytical and organizational skills, the ability to read and interpret construction documents, proficiency in Excel and construction software platforms such as Procore, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
