SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•            Assist in the preparation of monthly P& L statements

•            Manage A/R, A/P, and Payroll (using Paychex). Managing a team of 5+ accounting staff.

•            Oversee production of KPIs

•            Revenue and expense variance analysis

•            Reconcile Sage Intelligence to MAS financials

•            Process monthly accruals for different divisions

•            Reconcile accruals to cash accounting statements

•            Post accrued revenue and expenses to the general ledger

•            Oversee and generate multiple commission calculations across the firm

•            Generate and maintain P& L’s for additional business units and department level P& L’s

•            Oversee payroll and billing for separate divisions

•            Serve as the firm’s financial representative on a board that oversees three Mutual Funds and three ETFs

•            Oversee external financial audit and tax work on a timely basis

•            Oversee an office manager as a direct report. This includes phone systems, supplies, reception and mail.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•            A Bachelor’s degree is required, and a CPA is preferred

•            10+ years of progressive and upwardly mobile accounting roles.

•            Leadership roles in previous organizations

•            Experience in asset management or finance a plus
