As an Employment Specialist(known internally as a Career Resource Specialist)you will help individuals find meaningful employment. Please note that this role would require candidates to have the following experience:
Four yearsof experience in a public vocational rehabilitation and/or workforce development setting working with individuals with disabilities including responsibilities in job coaching and job placementOR an associate’s degree and three years of experience OR a bachelor’s degree and two years of experience OR a master’s degree and one year of experience.
A typical day might include the following:
Working with individuals to develop career goals and objectives
Teaching individuals how to create a customized resume, fill out effective job applications, write cover letters, and prepare for interviews
Engaging with local businesses to develop potential job opportunities
Coaching and guiding individuals at their job sites
Community-based travel in your personal vehicle to facilitate community-based job development and coaching , ensuring all services are delivered directly in the local environment. (mileage reimbursement provided)

Additional Requirements include:
Valid driver’s license and comfortable traveling within your local community
Monday – Friday, daytime business hours
Comfortable using MS Office, documenting notes in an electronic system, and accessing apps on a mobile device
