Dishwasher

A newly opened restaurant in North Tonawanda is seeking reliable, hardworking Dishwashers to join its kitchen team. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment and who understand the importance of sanitation in delivering a great guest experience. Dishwashers play a vital behind-the-scenes role in supporting the kitchen by ensuring all dishes, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and ready for service in a fast-paced setting.


Responsibilities:

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using the dishwasher or by hand.

• Ensure that all dishes and utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.

• Sort and stack clean dishes and utensils in designated storage areas

• Assist with the organization and stocking of kitchen supplies and equipment.

• Empty trash and recycling bins regularly and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.

• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, including countertops, sinks, and equipment.

• Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling and chopping vegetables.

• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

• Assist with other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods of time.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

• Must be at least 16 years old.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

• Continuously bend, reach, twist and use your hands and arms.

• Able to lift 40 pounds at a time.
