Clinical Role:

• Locum tenens job opening with ongoing coverage needs
• Dates of coverage needed: October 1623
• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible internal medicine or family medicine physician
• Opportunities to see all ages or adults only
• 24-hour solo coverage at a rural critical access hospital
• Schedule: Noonnoon
• Typically 1215 hours of active work, with the remainder of the shift on call
• Daytime patient care followed by overnight in-house call
• On-site call room available for sleeping
• Must be comfortable with emergent intubations, ventilator management, and central line placement
• Adult procedures required: Intubation, Central line placement, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, Lumbar puncture
• Pediatric procedures listed for coverage involving children: Intubation, Lumbar puncture, Neonatal circumcision, Neonatal umbilical venous catheter (UVC) and peripheral line placement
• Certifications listed: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP
• COVID vaccination required
• EMR: Cerner

• 25-bed critical access hospital
• 4 ICU beds
• Average daily encounters: 18
• Average daily census: 14.25
• eICU intensivist support
• Ancillary services include: X-ray, laboratory, and CT, Anesthesia, STAT lactate, cardiac enzymes, and procalcitonin testing, Physical and speech therapy

Area Information Fallon:

• Rural Nevada community approximately 60 minutes from Reno
