We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Remote Teleradiology Operations Coordinator to join our team. This position is available for immediate hire . Position Summary

The Remote Teleradiology Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing the day-to-day operational workflow of a teleradiology practice. This role serves as the central point of communication between radiologists, hospitals, imaging centers, and internal teams to ensure timely interpretation of imaging studies, compliance with service-level agreements, and exceptional customer service.

The Operations Coordinator actively manages study assignment, radiologist coverage, workflow performance, client communications, and operational escalations to support efficient, high-quality patient care in a 24/7 remote environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Workflow Management

• Monitor radiology worklists and study queues in real time.
• Assign imaging studies to the appropriate radiologists based on subspecialty expertise, state licensure, credentialing status, availability, workload, and client-specific requirements.
• Prioritize and route STAT, urgent, and routine examinations according to established protocols and service-level agreements.
• Monitor study distribution to ensure balanced workloads and optimal turnaround times.
• Track turnaround times (TATs) and ensure compliance with contractual service standards.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and proactively escalate operational concerns.
• Coordinate communication between radiologists and client facilities regarding workflow priorities and urgent cases.
• Maintain accurate documentation of workflow issues, escalations, and resolutions.

Radiologist Scheduling & Coverage

• Coordinate daily, evening, overnight, weekend, holiday, and emergency coverage schedules.
• Manage schedule changes, call-offs, and last-minute coverage needs.
• Ensure adequate radiologist staffing to meet client volume demands and service commitments.
• Assist with onboarding, scheduling, and operational integration of newly credentialed radiologists.
• Monitor physician availability and productivity throughout assigned shifts.

Client Relations & Customer Service

• Serve as a primary operational contact for hospitals, imaging centers, physician groups, and healthcare providers.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries, service requests, and operational concerns.
• Facilitate communication between client facilities and radiologists regarding urgent findings, study status, and workflow issues.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients through responsive and proactive service.

Technical & Systems Coordination

• Monitor operational systems, including PACS and communication platforms.
• Troubleshoot basic workflow and system issues and coordinate with IT support teams when necessary.
• Track and document technical incidents affecting service delivery.
• Communicate system outages and workflow disruptions to affected stakeholders.

Quality Assurance & Reporting

• Monitor operational performance metrics, including turnaround times, workload distribution, productivity, and client service levels.
• Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports.
• Support quality assurance, peer review process.
• Assist with operational audits and corrective action plans.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all applicable regulatory requirements.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Maintain scheduling records, coverage calendars, client contact information, and operational documentation.
• Assist with development and maintenance of operational policies and procedures.
• Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and workflow improvement activities.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Health Information Management, Radiologic Sciences, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare operations, radiology operations, medical imaging, healthcare administration, physician scheduling, or customer service coordination.
• Prior experience in teleradiology operations is strongly preferred.
• Experience with radiology workflow management, study assignment, radiologist scheduling, and client support functions preferred.
• Experience working in a remote or virtual operations environment preferred.

Technical Knowledge

• Familiarity with:
• PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems)
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Scheduling and workflow management software
• Secure communication and collaboration platforms

Work Environment

• Fully remote position.
• Reliable high-speed internet and dedicated home setup required.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as business needs require.
• Participation in on-call operational support rotations may be required.
• Frequent interaction with radiologists, healthcare providers, hospitals, and imaging center personnel.
