Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney | FULLY REMOTE

Gendler & Gendler, PLLC is a growing boutique law firm representing individuals and small businesses throughout South Florida. Our practice focuses on commercial disputes, breach of fiduciary duty claims, guaranty actions, partnership and shareholder disputes, foreclosure defense, adversary litigation in bankruptcy court, and general business torts.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced civil litigator to serve as lead counsel on a diverse caseload. This is a substantive, hands-on litigation role-- not a document review or support position. You will own your files, drive strategy from intake through resolution, and work collaboratively with a small team of attorneys.

The right candidate has spent their career in the courtroom. We're looking for someone who is equally comfortable at the deposition table, arguing motions, and trying cases-- and who brings the judgment and discipline to manage a file with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead counsel on assigned civil litigation matters;
• Handle depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials (predominantly remote; some in-person);
• Develop litigation strategy and delegate effectively to junior attorneys;
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and memoranda -- clear, concise, no legalese;
• Track and meet all deadlines; proactively move cases toward resolution;
• Collaborate with firm partners on strategy, settlement evaluation, and resourcing.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of civil litigation experience with meaningful trial, deposition, and courtroom history
• Licensed and in good standing with The Florida Bar
• Strong legal writing and research skills
• Organized, proactive, and dependable -- able to thrive in a fully remote environment
• Located in Florida; South Florida preferred
• Bankruptcy/adversary proceeding experience is a plus
• Spanish proficiency is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $165,000+ , commensurate with experience and writing ability
• 1,650 billable hours annually, with bonus compensation for hours beyond that threshold
• 25% origination on all collected fees, a meaningful income opportunity for an attorney with existing relationships or business development instincts
