Data Scientist (Remote)

Data Scientist PositionAt Zenlaw, we rely on data to guide our initiatives. This data helps to mold both our long-term strategy and our day-to-day operations. As a Data Scientist, you will be working with our engineering team to model complex problems and identify high-impact opportunities. You will be part of a high-energy, fast-paced team responsible for supporting initiatives and working on our ground-breaking AI models.Our full-stack Data Science Team uses Python for research and development. Our wide range of experience includes NLP, SpaCy, Transformers, and PyTorch recommendation systems, supervised and unsupervised problems. As part of the team, you are free to use the approach you see fit while relying on your colleague's previous experience and expertise.As a Data Scientist, you will:Research new techniques and frameworks for NLP tasksDesign new experiments for data abstraction and categorization of sentences/paragraphsWork with our lawyers to review initial results and implement pre and post-processing scripts to improve the accuracy of modelsRun data analysis on our dataset to design potential rules for annotationImprove the architecture of data modeling and data tooling in partnership with Engineering and cross-functional business partnersOwn your projects and use this autonomy to find creative and innovative ways of solving problems and delivering solutionsWe are looking for a passionate Data Scientist with:Bachelor in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field; graduate degree in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or another quantitative field2+ years of industry work experience as an analyst, data scientist, or equivalentExperience with training and deploying NLP deep learning modelsExceptional skills in Python, SQL, and any other programming language for data analysis and visualizationExcellent written and oral English communication skills with experience evangelizing the value of leveraging data in making both strategic and product decisionsExperience with reporting systems and data pipeline architectureDemonstrated problem-solving experience with the ability to break down complex and unstructured problems into layman's termsAn online sample of your analytical and/or data visualization abilities is greatly appreciated.Experience with Golang, and/or GitExperience with SpaCy, Transformers, PyTorch, or similar NLP frameworkExperience working with ontologies and knowledge graphsExperience in MLOpsMaster's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or another quantitative fieldYou care about:Ownership: you easily communicate ideas, implement them, and take responsibility for your actionsHelping others: sharing knowledge with your colleagues is on top of your prioritiesFast-paced startups: you love adapting to different situations, and you know how and when to iterate fast and with high qualityOur product: you believe in our vision, and are willing to give your best to build the future of ZenlawWhat we offer you:Entrepreneurial responsibility and flat-hierarchiesOwnership of your workPosition 100% remoteOpen-minded variety of nationalitiesA collaborative, open workplaceTeam EventsThis is a remote position that can be done from anywhere.
