Job Responsibilities:
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues on furniture received from Ashley or returned from customer deliveries.
• Assemble new components and install parts according to specifications, ensuring proper functionality before deployment.
• Conduct detailed inspections to identify wear, damage, or safety concerns and test repaired furniture to verify performance and compliance with standards.
• Track and manage parts inventory, order replacement parts, and maintain accurate records of usage.
• Communicate findings, repair status, and recommendations to supervisors or management in a timely manner.
• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist internal teams with technical questions and collaborate with other technicians to complete complex repairs efficiently.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance shop efficiency and overall service quality.
• Stay current on new repair techniques, tools, and product updates relevant to furniture restoration.
• Support delivery resolution efforts by preparing repaired or reconditioned product for redeployment to guests.
