In this role, you’ll deliver thoughtful, expert treatments with warmth, professionalism, and calm, grounded energy. A valid NYS License, excellent communication skills, and a guest-oriented personality are essential, along with a true passion for helping others feel balanced, renewed, and deeply cared for. Pay Rate: $28.00 to $33.00 per treatment, plus gratuities and retail commission. Potential to make up to $70.00 per hour. Job Responsibilities: Guest Experience & Service Create a welcoming, calming atmosphere with professional, courteous, and guest-centered service Provide a variety of personalized facial treatments that meet spa guidelines and licensing standards Educate guests about spa services, treatment benefits, and wellness practices that support well-being Support a seamless guest journey by collaborating with spa attendants, front desk, and fellow service providers Listen and respond to guest questions and concerns promptly, courteously, and professionally Treatment Preparation & Sanitation Prepare and maintain clean, stocked, and organized treatment rooms before and after each service- properly cleaning, restocking supplies and resetting equipment Follow spa guidelines and industry best practices for sanitation and sterilization Properly care for equipment and use products efficiently to support quality and cost control and prevent waste Uphold spa policies and state licensing requirements, including adherence to all safety and ethical guidelines Perform all prep and post-service tasks with precision, care, and attention to detail Knowledge & Development Possess full knowledge of all spa treatments, products, and guidelines Stay current on new facial techniques, spa treatments, and wellness industry trends relevant to the Esthetician role Willingly train in Mirbeau’s specific treatments and adapt to new services as introduced Professionalism & Reliability Arrive on time, in a clean uniform with name tag, and maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance Be prompt with each appointment and complete services within the scheduled time frames- coordinating with the front desk and spa attendants Contribute positively to the spa work environment with a professional, calm and composted demeanor Demonstrate discipline, reliability, and ability to work independently without constant supervision Additional Responsibilities Proactively inform management of any guest concerns or unusual situations requiring attention in a prompt manner Attend training sessions and team meetings as required Maintain confidentiality and discretion for all guests at all times, ensuring guest comfort and trust Uphold the integrity of your license and spa policies by maintaining ethical, safe, and professional practices at all times Fulfill and other responsibilities or assist with special tasks as directed by spa leadership *Must be able and willing to perform body treatments* Qualifications, Skills & Educational Requirements: Licensing & Experience Must hold and maintain a current, valid NYS License for Esthetics Thorough knowledge of facial modalities and technique, with the ability to customize treatments for each guest; experience with wellness-based treatments preferred Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and contraindications to ensure safe and effective treatments Prior experience in a spa, wellness, or refined hospitality environment strongly preferred Willingness to train in spa-specific or signature treatments as required per the spa’s service offerings Wellness & Service Excellence Proven commitment to delivering elevated, personalized service Genuinely guest-oriented with a passion for creating lasting client relationships and encouraging loyalty Ability to offer thoughtful, wellness-based solutions aligned with guest goals and spa standards Communication & Professionalism Strong verbal and written communication skills; articulate, polished, and professional in all guest and team interactions Warm, personable, and approachable with a calm, confident presence that reflects the spa’s elevated service standards Demonstrates a high level of discretion, respect, and professionalism at all times Work Ethic & Personal Attributes Reliable, punctual, and consistent in all aspects of job performance Ability to work independently and maintain focus without direct supervision Flexible, adaptable, and composed under pressure, with a positive and professional demeanor Committed to ongoing learning, development, and upholding the highest service and operational standards Physical & Technical Requirements Must be in good physical health, with the stamina to perform treatments and remain on your feet for extended periods of time Ability to maintain focus, posture, and energy throughout long shifts or consecutive appointments Strong time management, organization, and multitasking skills; able to pivot between responsibilities as needed Detail-oriented and precise, with a steady hand and clean technique Basic computer literacy and comfort with spa software or appointment management systems Employee Perks and Company Incentives: Discounted rates for services and retail items within the spa!! 401K with company match Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance Plan Employee Assistance Program and Resources Paid time off for full-time AND part-time employees!!
