CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Complex network troubleshooting: OSPF/BGP adjacency issues, VLAN misconfigurations, spanning tree problems
Multi-vendor hardware support across diverse environments
Circuit turn-ups and acceptance testing (dark fiber, wavelength, Ethernet)
Optical testing using OTDR, power meters, and fiber inspection scopes
System commissioning and burn-in procedures
Technical leadership for deployment projects (crew supervision)
Root cause analysis documentation for hardware and connectivity failures
Coordination with carriers, ISPs, and third-party vendors
Emergency response and P1/P2 incident onsite leadership
Development and refinement of site-specific runbooks and MOPs
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Server and storage installation
Rack-and-stack deployments
Hardware diagnostics and repair
Network connectivity troubleshooting
Structured cabling standards
Team supervision and mentoring
Analytical problem-solving

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS
CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, or Security+ certification.
BICSI Installer or Technician certification.
Experience with Cisco, Dell, HPE, Lenovo, or similar enterprise hardware.
Knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V, or cloud infrastructure.
Familiarity with DCIM platforms and asset management systems.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
5-8 years of data center or network operations experience
CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS, or equivalent networking certifications
Advanced fiber optic certification (CFOT/CFOS)
Demonstrated OTDR proficiency and fiber characterization experience
Experience leading teams in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments
Strong documentation and communication skills
