Job Overview This position is for an experienced engineer within the AMMM Utility Systems team. The engineer will serve as the Utilities & Mechanical Systems engineering lead integrator on the C‑5 aircraft platform. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and sustainment support of aircraft utility and mechanical systems, including Flight Controls, Landing Gear, Hydraulics, Environmental Control Systems (ECS), Bleed Air, and Secondary Power. The engineer will liaise between the Utility Systems Engineering function and the C‑5 Program, Project Engineering, Program Management, and the customer. Additionally, the role will drive sustainment solutions aimed at C‑5 fleet improvement, including design improvements, drawing changes, technical publication revisions, data review, drafting reports, and investigating customer inquiries. Other duties include basis of estimate (BOE) development and Control Account Manager (CAM) activity for the AMMM Utilities team. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. Experience with aircraft utility and mechanical systems such as Flight Controls, ECS, Landing Gear, Bleed Air, Hydraulics. Desired Skills: Prior experience with the C‑5 platform (C‑5M Architecture, Development & Test experience as System Cognizant engineer). Experience with aircraft sustainment and depot maintenance support. Experience providing Engineering customer interface, meeting support, technical discussions with USG SPO personnel. Experience as an IPT‑Lead or technical team lead. Experience with aircraft system root‑cause corrective action (RCCA) activity. Experience with vendor management and technical oversight of supplier components. Control Account Manager (CAM)/Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience. Security Clearance Must be a U.S. citizen. The selected candidate must obtain an active Secret clearance with an investigation within five years.
