Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Overland Park, KS (Accepting New Graduates)

Schedule

Full-Time, On-Site

Monday-Friday

Schedule will be based on clinic and patient needs

May require coverage at both Overland Park, KS and Blue Springs, MO

Schedule may adjust as staffing needs change

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a PTA who enjoys providing hands-on patient care and collaborating with Physical Therapists and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

·         Implement individualized treatment plans established by supervising Physical Therapists

·         Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation activities

·         Provide hands-on treatment and therapeutic exercise instruction

·         Treat patients recovering from work-related injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and other musculoskeletal conditions

·         Assist patients with workers' compensation, occupational medicine, personal injury, and general orthopedic conditions

·         Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner

·         Communicate patient progress and findings with Physical Therapists and the rehabilitation team

·         Educate patients regarding home exercise programs, recovery, and injury prevention

·         Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other rehabilitation professionals

Qualifications

·         Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

·         Current PTA license or eligibility for licensure in Missouri and/or Kansas

·         Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

·         Experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation preferred.

·         Workers' compensation or occupational medicine experience preferred.

·         Personal injury rehabilitation experience preferred.
