Job Requirements

Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery

Active Ohio medical license required

Fellowship training required

BLS and ACLS required

Minimum 1 year of experience required

Must be able to perform all required cardiothoracic surgery procedures

Self-query NPDB pulled within 30 days of presentation required

Availability for the listed coverage dates required

Responsibilities

Provide locum tenens cardiothoracic surgery coverage for assigned dates

Manage adult patients in a hospital-based rounding and call setting

Perform required procedures including CABG, arterial revascularization, redo coronary revascularization, pericardial window, heart valve repair/replacement, and mitral valve repair

Participate in 24-hour call coverage as scheduled

Collaborate with support staff, including physician assistants, to ensure smooth patient care

Work within an established surgical environment with EPIC documentation

Provide timely, high-quality surgical care while maintaining strong communication with the care team
