INTERMODAL BUSINESS COORDINATOR

Job Summary The Intermodal Business Coordinator (IBC) is a front‑line operations role focused on managing our customers’ Intermodal freight. Inside a team‑based environment, the IBC oversees traffic movements from origin to delivery, ensuring that customer processes, requirements, and business demands are fully understood and met. The position builds and maintains relationships with rail and drayage vendors, communicates requirements, and guarantees complete fulfillment of the customer’s needs. Key Responsibilities Process orders in the Alliance operating system. Build relationships with rail, drayage, and customers to meet their requirements. Manage customers’ business to ensure compliance with their requirements and update the Alliance operating system with current shipment data daily. Ensure the timely execution of pickup and delivery functions for each customer order. Resolve and communicate any issues or problems with customers’ shipments. Report to Alliance management any issues outside the SOPs and the measurements established by Alliance. Train new team members on accounts handled. Qualifications Experience in intermodal freight handling, shipping operations, or freight forwarding. Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or related field (preferred but not required). 1–2 years of industry experience. Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while balancing multiple responsibilities. Conflict management and insightful resolution skills with a proactive mindset. Honest, strong work ethic, resourceful, and effective negotiation skills. High level of attention to detail. Strong time‑management and critical‑thinking skills.
