Lab Technician

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM Experience: 8–10 years Role: Technology / Engineering Key Responsibilities Perform hands-on validation and testing of Mac/Apple hardware across hundreds of test devices. Unbox, rack, cable, configure, scan, and prepare Mac NPI hardware and test devices . Maintain and organize racks, test equipment, peripherals, and lab infrastructure. Track hundreds of devices under test and maintain accurate inventory and asset records . Configure hardware and perform regular software/firmware updates . Assist engineers with regression testing, experiments, additional data collection, and validation activities. Prepare devices for automated testing frameworks by placing, cabling, configuring, and scanning equipment. Tear down and reorganize racks efficiently to support multiple projects. Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and lab-related issues alongside engineering teams. Maintain test equipment and assist with setting up new lab spaces. Document test procedures, configurations, troubleshooting steps, and lab processes. Prioritize multiple requests and communicate task status and potential delays clearly to the engineering team. Required Skills Strong knowledge of Mac/Apple hardware Hands-on hardware setup, testing, and troubleshooting experience Experience with lab operations or hardware validation Strong knowledge of Terminal and Bash Experience with software/firmware updates Testing, validation, and regression testing experience Inventory and asset tracking experience Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail Strong communication and time-management skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced engineering/lab environment Ability to lift and handle equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
