Job Title: General Laborer

Job Description

The General Laborer supports daily operations by safely loading and unloading used oil from delivery trucks and ensuring storage tanks are properly filled and secured. This role involves working primarily with hoses and valves, handling equipment in an industrial environment, and occasionally traveling to nearby satellite locations within a short radius.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload used oil from delivery trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Operate and handle hoses, valves, and related equipment to ensure tanks are properly filled.
• Monitor tank levels and verify that all transfers are completed accurately and securely.
• Perform basic equipment operation and general labor tasks as needed to support daily operations.
• Assist with material handling activities, including moving and staging containers and equipment.
• Follow established procedures and safety guidelines in an industrial setting, including recycling, waste management, or warehouse environments.

Essential Skills

• 13 years of experience working in an industrial environment such as recycling or waste management facilities, warehouses, or similar operations.
• Ability to operate basic equipment and perform heavy labor work when required.
• General mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hoses, valves, and related equipment.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address routine operational issues.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in recycling or waste management plants is highly relevant.
• Prior experience loading and unloading rail cars is preferred but not required.
• Previous forklift experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to safety and adherence to operational procedures.

Work Environment

This is a first-shift position, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The role is performed in a combination of indoor and outdoor settings, typical of industrial and material-handling operations. The environment is casual, with relaxed work attire, and involves working around trucks, tanks, hoses, valves, and related equipment in a hands-on, active setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rollinsford, NH.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Rollinsford,NH.
