Operating Room (OR) Nurse Springfield, Illinois. This role involves working in a busy acute care hospital with a Level I trauma designation, providing surgical care across various service lines. The position offers a challenging environment for experienced OR professionals committed to delivering high-quality patient care and surgical support.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois nursing license or active application in process; minimum 3 years of OR experience including Level I trauma; BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred.
• Additional Job Requirements: Will work with all service lines except cardiovascular (CV). Experience with general, trauma, neuro, orthopedic, plastic, transplant, urology, and emergency trauma cases is required. Level I trauma experience is mandatory.
• Special Procedures/Skills: Laparoscopic-assisted cases, abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, Whipple procedure, craniotomy, lumbar fusion, arthroscopy, carpal tunnel release, organ donation, and trauma case management.
• On-Call Requirement: Yes, approximately once per week, with flexibility.
• Float Policy: Rarely required; within skill set if needed, but generally not expected.
• Additional information: Active IL license required or in application; RTO (requested time off) must be approved by management; candidate must confirm availability within submission notes.
