Senior Project Manager, Transmission (Hybrid Schedule)

This role is for a Senior Project Manager, Transmission located in Hartford, CT. You will independently manage high-risk, high-profile transmission projects in Massachusetts to ensure all phases of approved projects are completed efficiently, within scope, on schedule, and within budget. You will work with management personnel in Transmission Asset Management, Transmission Planning, Design, Land Planning, Construction and Test, Finance, Regulatory Relations, Legal, and Purchasing. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of projects including coordination of regulatory approvals and interface with regulators and local officials and town department managers. Develop and manage bid documents for engineering, design and construction, and procurement of materials and support systems. Ensure all project aspects are documented and completed in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations. Support the Major Project Underground Cable Modernization Program. Interact with multiple stakeholders and lead cross-functional project teams to develop project plans, schedules, communications plans, and change control methodologies. Plan, engineer, site/permit, procure, construct, commission, and close out projects; develop budget and cash flow; monitor scope, budgets, and schedules monthly. Prepare regulatory filings, environmental assessments, and regulatory approvals at federal, state, and local levels. Coordinate outage and energization plans; develop and submit long-term outage plans. Prepare corporate testimony and written responses for regulatory proceedings as needed. Qualifications Technical knowledge and problem-solving ability; ability to analyze data, write reports, and make presentations. Strong time management, prioritization, and decision-making skills; ability to run meetings and interact with all organizational levels. Experience managing multiple complex transmission projects concurrently; strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Self-starter with customer focus and ability to lead cross-functional teams. Knowledge of Project Management principles and practices; proven leadership, teambuilding, coaching, and problem-solving skills. Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferred) or Finance/Business or equivalent; Master’s Degree preferred; Project Management coursework desirable. Ten (10) years of related experience, including at least three (3) years of project management experience. Experience in the construction of transmission lines is highly desirable. Licenses & Certifications Valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License is required. Working Conditions Must be available for emergency restoration assignments and travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary. Work is primarily in an office environment with occasional site visits to field construction sites, high voltage substations, and rights-of-way. Limited travel between office, project sites, and stakeholder locations; may attend off-hours problems or storm/incident response as needed. Compensation and Benefits Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. Salary is commensurate with experience. This position is eligible for a potential incentive.
