Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 3rd Floor Overflow unit, requiring at least one year of nursing experience and an active RN license.

Details

• Works in a hospital 3rd Floor Overflow unit serving a med/surg and step-down patient population
• Cases range from simple to complex health conditions requiring nursing intervention
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Floating to any area of the hospital is required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact (eNLC) license required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Med/Surg and step-down experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Basic computer skills required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, administering medications, monitoring IV infusions and blood products, assisting physicians, and coordinating patient and family education
• Delegates tasks to support staff and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams
• Previous workers at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after completing 26 weeks (one contract + one extension) before being eligible for another contract
• Compliance requirements (drug screen, background check, medical documentation) are strictly enforced and must be completed promptly after accepting an offer — non-compliance may result in contract cancellation
