Deposit Operations Specialist

Job Summary

This position is primarily responsible for processing data for deposit accounts and customer records, complying with established operating policies and procedures.

General Responsibilities

• Reconciles bank deposits daily.
• Reconciles bank account monthly.
• Processes incoming and outgoing wire transfer requests.
• Reviews new deposit account file.
• Works with non-posted items to resolve issues.
• Processes return items.
• Reviews stop payment requests and processes.
• Reviews large items before processing.
• Processes lock box deposits.
• Scans documents, reviews, and maintains deposit and other accounts.
• Works with cash management users to educate and resolve issues.
• Answers phones and assists customers with routine inquiries.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience and/or Education Requirements

• Must have general banking knowledge and experience. Three years’ experience indeposit operations, especially working with reconcilements, remote deposit capture, cashmanagement systems, branch support & wire processing.
• Must have computer knowledge and experience, especially with MS Word and MSExcel.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associates degree is preferred.
• Must be detailed oriented, have analytical and good time management skills, ability to work independently, and strong customer service skills.
