Robot Operator

Job Summary

The Robot (Sander) Operator must act according to Leedo's core values: which place controls in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. The Robot Operator is responsible for all doors that are sanded on this machine according to Leedo's safety, handling, and quality procedures. Will also be responsible for working within a team to achieve production schedule goals.

Essential Functions and Duties

Set-up the Robot machine to properly operate at the beginning of every production shift.


Operate all pieces of equipment within the specifications of the established control parameters.


Monitor and record all operational control parameters on the daily operational checklist.


Load and verify all parts work orders are loaded onto line by the production schedule.

Record and maintain production log data sheet on a daily basis.

Measure and record all abrasive material usage on a daily basis.

Ensure that all daily clean-up duties are performed.

Adhere to all safety, material handling and quality procedures.


Perform additional tasks as assigned by Finish Supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must have a general understanding of mechanical machinery.

Must be able to read and write in either English or Spanish.

Must have good math skills.


Must be able to work in a team environment.

Must understand standard safety practices involved in working in a manufacturing environment.

Education and Experience:

Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.


Experience working in an assembly or manufacturing environment helpful

Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions

Factory environment, possibly including areas where eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators as required.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Must be able to lift and carry loads up to 30 pounds.
