Line Cook

Line Cook Position Overview The Line Cook at Parilya plays a vital role in preparing, cooking, and plating a variety of Filipino-fusion dishes with precision, speed, and consistency. This position requires a strong understanding of food preparation, multitasking under pressure, and maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe work environment. The Line Cook contributes directly to ensuring every guest experiences the quality and care that defines Parilya, both in-house and through our mobile kitchen. Key Responsibilities - Prepare and execute a variety of menu items---including grilled meats, rice dishes, soups, and entrées---according to established recipes and standards. - Operate various kitchen stations, including the flat-top grill, charbroiler grill, fryer, gas burners, and refrigerated garnish station , ensuring readiness and efficiency throughout service. - Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following proper thawing, cooling, labeling, and storage protocols. - Set up, stock, and maintain assigned stations before, during, and after service. - Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared and plated accurately and on time, particularly during dinner rushes and online delivery orders . - Assist in dishwashing and prep cooking as needed, including prepping raw meat, cutting vegetables, and preparing sauces or marinades. - Support catering and large-event preparation as assigned. - Participate in food truck operations when needed, preparing and serving menu items while upholding Parilya's quality and presentation standards in a mobile kitchen environment. - Communicate clearly with the team regarding special requests, dietary restrictions, or order changes. - Uphold kitchen cleanliness standards by participating in end-of-shift cleaning, including the flat-top grill, charbroiler, refrigerated drawers, garnish station, warming table , hood, hood filters, and back wall . - Restock items and ingredients for the next shift; complete temperature logs and other kitchen checklists as required. - Step into other support roles (e.g., cashier, dishwasher, or prep cook) when needed to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar kitchen role is highly preferred . []{style="font-size "}
